M: Really, so I should take them seriously about the cold but not count too much on a lot of extra snow?
W: Ah-ha. It should be right.

W: Good evening, sir. Do you have a reservation, sir?
M: I am afraid not.
W: Just a moment, please. I’m very sorry, we’re full now. Would you mind waiting a short time, sir?
M: No, I don’t mind.
W: Here is the chair, sir.
M: Thank you.
W: I’m very sorry to have kept you waiting, sir.
M: It doesn’t matter.
W: Oh, there is a table now. This way, please.
M: Thank you.
W: Is this table all right?
M: Yes, good. I don’t have much time tonight. I have to see my friend at eight thirty in the lobby.
W: Menu, sir.
M: Thank you.
W: May I take your order, sir?
M: Yes, I want to have this smoked salmon. Is it good?
W: Yes, very good, sir. It is Japanese origin, and it comes from Hokkaido, north area of Japan.

W: Good afternoon, Sales Department. May I help you?
M: Could I speak to Mr. Mike, please?
W: I’ll see if he is available. Who shall I say is calling, please?
M: John Smith.
W: Hold the line, please. Mr. Mike is in a meeting with the Managing Director at the moment, I’m afraid. Can I help you?
M: Well, I want to discuss with him the new contract we signed last week.
W: I don’t think the meeting will go on much longer. Shall I ask him to call you when he is free?
M: Yes, that would be easiest.
W: Could I have your name again, please?
M: Yes. It’s John Smith.
W: And the number?
M: 021-64358769
W: OK. You’ll be hearing from Mr. Mike later in the morning then, Mr. Smith.
M: Thank you for your help. Good-bye.
W: You are welcome. Good-bye.

A couple had two little boys aged 8-10, who were very naughty. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that if anything wrong happened in their town, their sons were probably involved.
The boy’s mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8- year-old first in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.
The clergyman, a huge man with a deep voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him seriously “Where is God?”
